Julene Butler is compassionate, eclectic, brutally honest, and genuine. In her role as a child and youth practitioner, she has helped hundreds of clients manage their emotional and mental challenges.
Knots in My Laces, Knots in My Tummy is Julene Butler's debut book. It is a children's picture book that creatively and sensitively presents the symptoms of anxiety in children. This easy-to-read book allows the parent and child to identify these symptoms together and helps them begin to effectively talk about the child's feelings and experiences.
It also provides parents with helpful information on commonly asked questions and details about what they can do if they think their child is displaying signs of anxiety.
Knots in My Laces, Knots in My Tummy, is a tender and personal look at the various expressions of anxietv and
related disorders. With this beautifully illustrated book, children and adults alike will be able to relate to, or at the least empathize with, the very real experiences of this growing health concern, and hopefully start the conversations that lead to healing and wholeness.

"Knots in My Laces, Knots in My Tummy is a great title for an informative book.
The theme is clear and easy to follow throughout the book. My six-year old granddaughter was able to make the connection with each scenario and she loves the illustrations. They are colorful and age appropriate. I wholeheartedly recommend the book."

I really admire the way in which children's author
Julene Butler taps into the true-to-life emotions children feel when they experience anxiety. The various forms of anxiety disorders are compassionately portrayed in the context of easy-to-relate-to-scenarios. Knots in my Laces - Knots in my Tummy serves as conversation starter for children and parents. It takes a realistic as well as a gentle approach to what children could be struggling with.

"I would recommend Knots in My Laces, Knots in My Tummy to anyone looking to learn more about the signs and symptoms of anxiety in young children.
The story makes it an easy conversation starter between parents and children looking to explore this topic. (Not to mention the great resources for parents at the back of the book!). Anxiety is so common among children, but there are so few resources about its manifestation
in young children. Butler's book bridges this knowledge gap in a fun, easy to digest way."
